Burgers:
While we are loathe to actually divulge this information, the Dunlay's location in Logan Square has fucking awesome hamburgers. Almost as good as Kuma's, we swear. So it's no wonder that on Wednesdays the place is jam-packed with folks stuffing their faces with the restaurant's ground beef since today if half-price burger night. If you see us there tonight, buy us a beer for turning you on to this largely unnoticed humpday gem.

3137 West Logan Blvd. Y'know, the new Wicker Park.

Movies:
While we're fans of many of the flicks contending for the second most important cinematic award in the world this year -- the first, of course, being the Moonman -- sometimes you just can't beat the classics. So belly up with the Marx brothers at the Portage Theater tonight for a special showing of Duck Soup someplace other than our DVD player. Then go read Bowl Of Cherries.

4050 N Milwaukee, 1:30 p.m., $4.

Music:
Brighton, MA used to be part of the whole Scotland Yard Gospel Choir thing. So now the city has two bands that worship at the altar of Stuart Murdoch, and we don't think that's a bad thing. So if you're looking to get your indie chamber pop on, Double Door is the place to be tonight.

1572 N Milwaukee, 8:00 p.m., 21+, $12.

MP3:
And here's a freebie for you from Chicagost faves May Or May Not. The nice thing about forward thinking bands is that they have no problem releasing their work online as soon as they've finished banging a song out. We suspect this will also pop up on an EP or, considering the speed with which they work, an album in the near future. But for you? Here's a sneak peak at what they're cooking up in the laboratory.
