When DOESN'T The Weather Impede Holiday Travel?

By Alicia Dorr in News on Nov 19, 2007 7:36PM

chicagosnow.jpgBig surprise — the weather is going to be wildly unpredictable on and around Thanksgiving.

Holiday travel will most likely be ludicrously difficult for the thousands of weary travelers coming and going in the Midwest via plane, train and automobile. According to Tom, we can expect rain as the week goes on. The rain will probably change to snow on Thanksgiving eve following a low pressure storm that may (or may not?) be moving northeasterly by Tuesday night.

While poor weather during major travel times in the Midwest is as inevitable as a child asking whether or not we are, in fact, there yet, the news still making us cringe a bit. Why always on Thanksgiving? Maybe it's because Mother Nature knows that people will have to be more forgiving on a day they are supposed to give thanks. That cheeky jerk.
