The Chicago Storm indoor soccer team will kick off (zing!) their Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) 2007-08 season against the California Cougars this Saturday at 7pm. The Storm have teamed up with Q101 this season to offer post game concerts for five of their home games. This Saturday, the post-game feature act will be Quitedrive. A full season schedule and combination game /concert schedule can be found on the Chicago Storm website.

Earlier this month, the National Lacrosse League 2008 season was canceled when the National Lacrosse League and the Professional Lacrosse Player's Association could not come to terms on a long-term collective bargaining agreement. Yesterday the league announced that the two groups have come to an seven-year agreement and that the 2008 NLL season is back on. Chicagoist was surprised to learn this deal is the longest labor deal in the 22-year history of professional indoor lacrosse.

Can you blame us for our lack of knowledge? It was just last year that Chicago received its own franchise. The Chicago Shamrox, who play their home games at the Sears Centre, are expected to announce their 2008 schedule next week.
