The textures of this photo by pantagrapher (Mike Innocenzi) first drew us in, but it was the curious colored tiles that caused us to stay. We'd seen similar tiles before in pantagrapher's photostream, and like him, we're wondering what the connection is. As he says, "I think the same person did the tiling, and now I wonder if these are part of some erstwhile guerilla art project (they're a couple blocks away from each other and they both look pretty worn down). This calls for a scavenger hunt."

He says that these tiles were spotted in an alley off Menomonee between Cleveland and Hudson, with the first tiles having been found in a small park at Sedgwick and Wisconsin.

Has anyone else seen any more of these decaying red, white and blue tiles? Any information about their source?
