Glenview Man Defeated in Rock, Paper, Scissors Tourney

Here at Chicagoist, we take our hometown heroes pretty seriously. 2006_11_rps.jpgAnd we don't like it when one of our own is defeated.

Which is why we were crestfallen when we read this morning that Glenview resident Jason Kieronski bowed out in the first round of an international rock, paper, scissors tournament that took place over the weekend in Toronto. The Fifth Annual World Rock Paper Scissors Championship drew 500 competitors and was won by Bob Cooper, a 28-year-old sales manager from London.

Kieronski is a gym teacher when he isn't competing in international competitions of this type. We hate to imagine the type of mockery he must be subjected to from his students after a loss of this magnitude.
