We can’t help it. We love Barack Obama. There, we said it. We’re falling for it hook, line, and sinker. This guy (we hope) is the real deal.
Obama will be discussing his new book, “The Audacity of Hope”, due out in the fall. Obama’s first book “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance” was a memoir of his unorthodox upbringing. “The Audacity of Hope” is going to be more about his political beliefs.
The crux of the book is that we have more in common than we realize; that our differences are what we tend to focus on. He believes that there are beliefs and dreams that we all hold dear, and if we concentrate on those, we will achieve more.
It sounds a bit simplistic to us, like “eat less, exercise more” seems way too easy, but Occam’s razor ain’t just a river in Egypt, and sometimes, the simplest answer is the best answer.
We’re behind you Obama, kiss Amy Sedaris for us.
