Punk Band Rock Opera

By Julene McCoy in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 8, 2005 4:34PM

We've been missing organized chaos lately and this weekend the Hideout offers just that with the Punk Band Rock Opera billed as a multi-media event. Created by Bartender Nat and populated with a who's who of the rest of the h/o staff this will be a night we wish we could remember with all the whiskey and PBRs sure to be flowing.

Punk Band is a balls out - wait for it - punk band featuring the aforementioned Nat who better have a great costume to follow up the lamb outfit or tutu that we last saw him wearing at performances. Also slated to perform are Camaro Rouge featuring Andrea (formerly of The Drapes), Sons of Cops, and Plastic Crime Wave described by Chicagoist's fave bartender Lawrence and drummer of said band as "fiercely monotonous". Wethinks Tyra would be proud. Michael Lyons is also on the bill and The Thin Man's website also states that they will be there fresh from their CD release at Schuba's on Friday night.

We haven't been so excited to head to the h/o since we mourned the passing of summer at the block party. For a mere $5 this show leaves plenty o' cash for the drinkin'! The opera begins at 9 pm.
