There happen to be dueling reports of when the tickets actually go on sale for this – it’s either tonight at 9 pm or tomorrow at the same time. We thought we’d give advance warning either way. Bobby Bare Jr’s Young Criminal Starvation League will be shooting a video on Monday the 21st at The Hideout ($10, 9 pm). Finding the perfect hipster/non-hipster outfit for this should be an adventure.

Chicagoist first stumbled upon Bobby Bare Jr’s rock-n-roll with Nashville's country tinges last New Year’s Eve for the fabulously low price of $15 (Thanks Schubas! Check out The Changes this NYE). We knew it was going to be a good night when Bobby came out, Jack Daniels bottle in hand, and just barreled into the songs. The YCSL’s latest album From The End of Your Leash has Chicago connections, including Andrew Bird and Paul Burch, and the requisite Morrissey cover required of all musicians shunning the alt-country moniker.

If obscure fame isn’t your thang, or standing around between takes isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, or it’s just best that your mug isn’t out there - Bobby Bare Jr’s Young Criminals Starvation League is playing a non-video-making show on the 26th at the Empty Bottle ($10, 10 pm).
