Cab Driver By Night, OB-GYN By Day

Chicagoist has to commute to the Western 'burbs every blessed day for work so whenever there is a backup of any sort on the Gipper Trail [aka The East-West Tollway I-88], or 290, we want to pull out every single strand of hair we have on our heads.
But today's backup around Yackley Avenue deserves a pass.
In what you only see in movies, seems a baby girl was born on the side of the road after, according to the Trib, the mom-to-be just couldn't make it to the hospital in time. Transported by a Plainfield Cab Co. taxi the woman and a relative were trying to get to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield but the baby had other plans.
And, how cool is this? The cab driver helped to deliver the baby. The Trib reports that mom and baby were taken to Central DuPage by paramedics and both are doing well. Chicagoist only wonders this: what does a cabbie charge for a fare like that? To say nothing of the tip?!
