Don't Miss Your Chance at $200 Million

Chicagoist isn't really one to gamble much, but when there's a chance at $200 million and we only have to pay a couple bucks for that chance, you don't have to twist our arm very hard.

2005_08_mega_millions.jpgOn Friday night, none of the Mega Millions tickets matched all 5 lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number to score the $172 million up for grabs. There were 8 second-prize winners who matched 4 numbers, but not the Mega Ball, and won a measly $250k each. One of those second place winners was from Illinois and bought their ticket at a liquor stor on the North Side. Another 5 people from Illinois matched 4/5 lotto number plus the Mega Ball and cashed in on $10k each. But no big winners.

And you know what that means....

The money is rolling over and increasing to $200 million. The drawing is Tuesday night, so make sure that you get your tickets today or tomorrow. Or today AND tomorrow!

Chicagoist isn't sure what we'd do with the money if we won.. Maybe we'd start up a SUCCESSFUL restaurant chain and call it Chicago Delights. Heh. Most likely we'd invite everyone to go out and stuff our faces and drink a lot. Then do it again the next night. Then do it again the next night. Then do it again the next night. You get the idea.... Then we'd probably die of a heart attack. Probably best if we don't win.
