Man Questioned Over Red Line Sexual Assault And Robbery

A suspect was taken in for questioning Monday about a robbery and sexual assault that took place in Rogers Park this past Saturday, ABC 7 reports. No charges have been filed yet.
The incident happened at about 4:40 a.m., near the Jarvis Red Line stop, according to police. A 25-year-old woman walking in the 1400 block of West Jarvis Avenue was grabbed from behind by a man she had just ridden the train with. He showed her a gun and shunted her into an empty area, where he robbed and sexually assaulted her.
The attacker was a black man, age 25 to 35, wearing a black coat, a black knit hat, and a backpack, according to police and CTA surveillance footage.
