Hear Ye, Hear Ye

By Jocelyn Geboy in Miscellaneous on Jun 6, 2007 7:57PM

The second of four public comment sessions is tonight regarding a possible fare hike/restructuring and service cuts if the CTA doesn't get funding from the state. We've been told by our faithful readers that we should (all of us?) stop bitching and do something about this. This is one of the things we can actively do. We'll be there tonight, just as we were at the last round of comment sessions regarding the three-track blah (we can prove it, we were on TV!).

2007_06chicagostop.jpgWe are not convinced that the more voices they hear, the more they will actually change or do something about their ways. In fact, we are convinced that these are actually for show so they can say that they gave us a chance to say something before they go ahead and do what they want to anyway.

For tonight's meeting, you can take the Blue Line to the Belmont station and head east to California. Or you can take the Belmont bus west from the Red Line stop. Otherwise, check yourcta.com for their trip planner. Let's bring some insightful, intelligent discussion to the table tonight, shall we?
