Eid-tulip.jpgIf you haven't been walking along Devon this weekend, or you don't have any Muslim friends, (or you aren't Muslim yourself) you may have missed it, Sunday was the first day of Eid-al-Fitr, a three day holiday that marks the end of month-long Ramadan.

Since Ramadan is a month of reflection and fasting, Eid is a big relief, with a lot of eating, getting together with your family, and giving thanks to Allah. In Chicago there are about 500,000 Muslims, so that's a lot of thanks and lamb Biryani!
